Antique Furniture Restorer
About Paul Dean Restorer

My Story
I have worked as an antique furniture restorer for over 40 years, including time spent with a leading BAFRA-accredited restorer. More than 30 years ago, I established my own business and have since worked for top-end dealers and respected organisations such as the National Trust.
I have a comprehensive knowledge of antique furniture and clocks and was involved in helping to establish the Dorset Collection of Clocks in Owermoigne.
Working with a wide range of clients over many years, I have built a trusted network of specialist trades, including clock movement restorers, upholsterers and caners. This allows me to offer a complete restoration service, covering all aspects of work for the private individual.
Alongside traditional restoration, my work has developed into a strong commitment to sustainability. This includes not only restoring furniture but also sympathetically repurposing pieces and materials for changing times, giving them new life for many more years rather than replacing them with new.
I also take particular pride in making and adapting furniture for those who have lost some mobility. An example of this is a bespoke rise-and-fall desk created specifically for a wheelchair user.
